Policies

Covid-19 Policies. Before Covid-19, Beacon Preparatory Academy and Smart Stars Academy II used an organic cleaning regimen called Care. Clean. Protect by Probiocare. We later added sanitizing and disinfecting products, including a daily fogging process that covers 100% of the room with sanitizing mist. High-traffic areas are disinfected separately.

What this looks like in practice

Children wash hands on arrival. Shoes come off and go into an individual bag kept in their locker. Hands are sanitized with a child-safe spray or gel. Hand sanitizers sit throughout the facility. High-traffic spots like door handles, chair backs, tables, and faucets are disinfected separately each day.

A child who washes hands at the door and changes shoes at their locker carries less from the classroom back to your kitchen table. Fewer sick days means more days learning and playing with friends, and fewer mornings rearranging work. Staff follow the same routines, so the building stays consistent even when teachers are out.
